Wrestlemania what???

I remember being a tike staying up late on Saturday nights to watch the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Brutus the barber, The Hart Foundation, Coco B Ware and more slug it out (or at least so it seemed) on NBC. The last minute roll aways as Ricky The Dragon Steamboat leapt from the top turnbuckle would wrench my gut when bad guys like Iron Sheik and Nikita Koloff would cheat their way to another W. While I know now that it was all a clever rouse, the drama that it stirred inside of me and millions of kids and adults across the nation drove me to buy the toys, order the pay-per-view events (even when Moms wasn't havin it, i had to freak the old cable box knob) and even go to the big arena shows. Once my dad even took me backstage at one of these joints and I see "rivals" chumming it up, dirtiest of foes on the phone to their families thus totally blowing my mind in what was possible in the world of show business.

I say all of this because I'm trying to figure out how much of this Fat Joe vs 50 Cent is real. I am quite sure that these dudes do NOT like each other. 50 Cent being the powerful force he is in the industry has once again set his sights on bringing down the fat gangster's album release date. I personally enjoy the music that Papoose and Remy Martin make and the fact that they pull NO punches (serious pun right there, What up PUN???). Pap has a serious allegiance to Slay but Fat Joe seems to have a problem with DJs who have 50 on their show. I mean, Fat Joe, lets keep it real. You haven't had a gold record in a LONG time. So why I am going to hold up the star power of the G-Unit General because you don't like him? I think Kay Slay said it best at a convention I recently attended, "Don't get mad at me, I'm just the referee". What kind of hater puts a clause in your contract saying you can't work with THEIR rival? Thats hate right there. I'm sure Remy will be working with G-G-G-G-G-Unit in no time. Personally, homegirl is one of the hardest in the game. Kim needs to chill out, the plastic surgery and diva stylings are great for the Style network but suck in the hood. I don't even recognize Kim anymore. Remy said she looks like a little Japanese boy (LOL). I want new albums from Papoose (enough mixtapes already dude, I know you do it to stay current but an album is needed brother!) and Remy Ma (maybe one day we can burn it down...LOL) ASAP!!!

Last time Fif went on his media tirade about the "comeback" of Ja Rule it seemed effective. Despite Irv Gotti's subpar VH1 reality show's attempt to garner interest in Ja's new album, 50 really put it in people's minds why he shut him down in the first place. Is Ja doomed to do direct-to-DVD movies for life? LOL. For a while, I thought 50 was slipping. Then he came with "I Get Money" and it was back to the familiar G-Unit swagger. With the popularity of the internet and downloading, his new mixtape (Elephant In The Sand) should be a sure-fire winner for the Unit.

And if you're wondering when you're going to get Style & Grace 5, Shine 3 and Animal Planet hold tight for about 2 days.
